  • Issuance of Presidential Proclamation No. 1895, signed September 30, 2009, institutionalizing Filipino Famealy Day
  • A memorandum of agreement was jointly signed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the National Committee on the Filipino Family (NCFF) to jointly promote “FaMEALy Day, Pagkilala na Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga” and DSWD’s Family Week.
  • Resolutions to declare every 4th Monday of September as FaMEALy Day of the respective cities were approved by the cities of Dagupan, Mandaluyong, Makati, Manila, Marikina, Navotas, Pasig, Pasay, Quezon City and Taguig.
  • DILG and DSWD Issued a Memorandum Circular to all LGUs to allow their employees to go home early on September 22, 2008 to join their families for dinner to celebrate FaMEALy Day.
